The activity of the department is focused on elite cruciferous seed crops. Scientific activity - the implementation of a number of scientific and technical programs related to the improvement of technology cultivation cruciferous crops adapted to the conditions of the Vitebsk region.

Winter rape


Created in RUP "SPC NAS of Belarus on Agriculture" on the basis of highly productive, winter-hardy domestic varieties of winter rape. The average seed yield over the three years of testing was 50.3 q / ha and exceeded the standard, the Leader variety, by 5.8 q / ha. The maximum yield of 82.3 c / ha.

The seeds contain: 44.4-50.0% fat, 0-0.3% erucic acid, 12.1-16.5 µmol / g glucosinolates. The height of plants of a new variety is 156-166 cm. Stem, leaf, inflorescence - typical for rape. Seeds are black and gray, rounded. The mass of 1000 seeds is 4.5–5.8 g.

The variety is characterized by winter hardiness, friendly flowering and ripening, resistance to shattering, Alternaria, and endurance to sclerotinia and bacteriosis. Vegetation period 339-343 days.

Zoned in the Vitebsk, Mogilev and Minsk regions since 2012.

Spring rape


The new variety has a high oil content (47.2%), a low content of erucic acid and glucosinolates, it belongs to the canola food grade. In the competitive variety testing of an NPC on agriculture for an average of three years, the yield of seeds of the variety Pramen exceeded the standard by 6.8 c / ha. The growing season at the standard level - 102 days. Variety Pramen different resistance to disease, shattering, friendly flowering and ripening. The new variety is responsive to intensive cultivation technology and is one of the most productive varieties of spring rape.


The variety is medium early, non-erucic, isoglucosinolate. The maximum yield in competitive variety testing - 53.2 and 45.9 centners per hectare was obtained at the Mozyr SS State Agricultural Institution. The growing season is 96-102 days. The mass of 1000 seeds is 3.6-5.2 g.

Seeds contain up to 49.0% fat, 0.4-0.6% glucosinolates, up to 27.6% protein and up to 62.54% oleic acid. Iodine number 112.5.

Resistance to lodging and shedding is high. Differs amicable flowering and ripening. Included in the state register of varieties of the Republic of Belarus since 2011 in all regions. Plant semi-closed type. Stem with anthocyanin coloration, height of plants is up to 145 cm.


First variety of domestic breeding, created by interspecific and intraspecific hybridization using the method anther cultures (in vitro).

The variety is characterized by precocity, short stature, oil content (44.1-48.2%), high quality seed in the absence of erucic acid in seeds and glucosinolate content 8-12 μmol / g of dry matter. The vegetation period is 90-100 days. Differs in resistance to blackleg and cylindrosporosis. Responds well to intensive cultivation technology. Zoned in the republic since 2006, entered into the state register of Russia since 2007.

Mustard White Elena

The variety is medium early. In 2006–2008, the average seed yield was 21.2 centners per hectare. The maximum yield of 47.2 centners per hectare was obtained at Shchuchinsky GSU in 2006. The period from germination to harvest ripeness is 98 days. The mass of 1000 seeds is 7.5 g. The seeds contain 24.9% fat. Protein in the meal contains 34.8%. The oleic acid content in oil is 25.6%, linoleic acid 10.2%, linolenic acid 11.0%, erucic acid 36.6%, gondoic acid 10.1%. Oil value 114. The variety is moderately resistant to lodging and shedding.

Radish oilseed


The growing season for seeds is 95-120 days, for a green mass of 45-50 days. The average seed yield for 1995-1997 was 17.8 centners per hectare, maximum - 26.2 centners per hectare obtained in 1997 at the Mozyr GSS. The yield of dry matter was 51.4 c / ha, the maximum 64.5 centners per hectare was obtained in 1995 at the Vileika state station. Protein content in dry matter is 24.2%, protein collection 10.6 centners / ha. It is characterized by good threshing, uniform flowering, amity of ripening. It is recommended for use on green fodder in primary and intermediate crops. On seed purposes sown with a seeding rate of 1.2–1.5 million seeds per hectare, for green fodder, 2.5 million seeds in spring and 3.0 million seeds per 1 hectare in intermediate crops.
